Christ Church Universal (CCU) stands in solidarity with our community in denouncing racism and misogyny in this recent increase of Asian and Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) hate crimes throughout the United States. As Christians, we are dedicated to the teachings of Jesus Christ and are committed to addressing, condemning, and advocating against the sins of hatred, racism, misogyny, and xenophobia, and are committed to providing a safe place of healing for those affected in our communities. CCU does not condone racial hatred and oppression inside and outside of our church and we are committed to not remaining silent on these issues that are important to our church family and our community. We stand together with our AAPI and Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) brothers and sisters of all faiths; and call for all people to eradicate the racial oppression that deeply divides us and dehumanizes us.

Proverbs 31:9

Open your mouth, judge righteously, and defend the rights of the afflicted and needy.

Micah 6:8

He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God

Matthew 7:12

“In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Matthew 25:40

The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
